Before Kendall Jenner There Was Aliana Lohan

We're going to ignore Lindsay Lohan for obvious reasons.

Do you all remember when Ali Aliana Lohan announced that of all the things she could do with her life, she was going to become a model? Her (then) agency Wilemina, sent her to work in Korea to build her book. I don't recall ever seeing images of her in Korea magazines. I don't recall ever seeing more than two published shots of her. Aliana doesn't even have a profile on Models.com.

She's still claiming to be a model while working on a singing career.

Now when you look at Kendall Jenner and complain about her lack of emotion and her one facial pose, we need to be thankful that at the very least, she was born with an interesting and photogenic face.

Aside: Aliana never really stood a chance. 

2014 British Fashion Awards Arrivals

Rihanna attended wearing an over-sized Stella McCartney tuxedo jacket, and little else.

I think Anna needs to accept that her feet are no longer open-toe ready. Her daughter Bee Shaffer is wearing Alexander McQueen.

Kendall Jenner for Estée Lauder

Kendall Jenner, the only one of North West's aunties who isn't completely useless, has been named the face of Estée Lauder.

This doesn't offend me.

Kendall has a lot of followers on Twitter and Instagram. Kendall has social media power, which the fashion biz has deemed super important right now. Estée Lauder is our mothers' and grandmothers' brand. My mom and aunts used it (they've both since switched to Bobbi Brown). The last time I stepped up to an Estée Lauder cosmetic counter, I was buying perfume for my mom - I was a thirteen and it was the nineties. I haven't been back since.

I don't know how many teens will be following Kendall to the Estée Lauder counter to buy 17 dollar lipstick from a 55 year old "beauty consultant". Probably the same amount who buy Kendall's books and clothing. Not a lot. 


She looks just like North West's grandma.
